The company has been keen to showcase the work of local artists by means of exhibitions. The first of these exhibitions took place in Douala on the 18th of October.

In an exhibition entitled “60 years”, Cimencam showcased the creative spirit of young talents through paintings in order to get closer to its target audience and strengthen its ties with the local artistic community. In the presence of the company’s top management, the paintings reviewed six decades of the socially responsible company, which has operated in Cameroon since 1963, under four themes. These were “Human Capital and CSR”, “The Seven Wonders of Cameroon”, “Innovation” and “Plants and Sites”. Guests who attended the event were able to learn more about Cimencam’s commitment, its values and the men and women who make up the human resources that have brought the company to the forefront of Cameroon’s competitive cement industry.

The talk with the press was an opportunity for Cimencam’s top management to discuss the challenges and opportunities facing the cement industry in Cameroon. “60 years is a long time. So, we wanted to celebrate Cameroonian culture, because Cimencam is part of the culture of this country,” explains Xavier Legrand, Managing Director of Cimencam. He continues: “Cimencam is the cement company that invests the most in Cameroon.

The outlook is for the long term. We’re going to pass through. I think we’ll have a lot more to come. We’re preparing for a completely different environment. The quality of service and dividends offered by Cimencam, especially through the digitalisation of certain operations, are also appreciated by customers.
