Professor Alvine Kamaha, professor of physics at the University of California, Los Angeles just won the  Edward A. Bouchet Prize.

Alvine Christelle Kamaha has been awarded the Edward A. Bouchet Prize. A distinction which honours an outstanding minority physicist who made significant contributions to physics research.
She received the award “for her leadership and key achievements in the experimental search for dark matter in the universe, including advances in the purity of radioactivity, and for her contributions to outreach, diversity and inclusion through student service and mentoring”.

Christelle Kamaha is an assistant professor at the University of California, Los Angeles.
