The attack, which forced the military to flee, took place on 8 May 2024 in the town of Bomana in the Meme Division.

The military post station in the town of Bomana comprised two buildings and a small wooden house. It was attacked and completely destroyed by separatist fighters at the end of last week. The soldiers stationed at the post fled when they were attacked by the Ambazonian separatists, according to several sources.

In a video posted on social media, one of the commanders can be heard saying: ‘They fled when we launched an attack’. No official response has been given at this time.
