The Minister, Malachie Manaouda, has just received a batch of vehicles for the National Centre for Blood Transfusion (NCBT).

The Minister of Public Health, Malachie Manaouda, has just handed over 23 brand new Toyota Land Cruisers to improve the efficiency of the National Blood Transfusion Centre (NCBT). These vehicles have a total value of 712,322 dollars (approximately 425,000,000 CFA francs). Three of the vehicles will be used for coordination, while the other 20 will be used to monitor the activities of the National Blood Transfusion Centre. “I have instructed the top management of the NCBT to ensure a safety and judicious use of these vehicles,” the Public Health minister tweeted.

Since February 2019, Cameroon, through the National Blood Transfusion Centre, has embarked on a programme to organise and deploy its blood transfusion policy. It aims to ensure availability and accessibility of quality blood products throughout the country. The initiative is being implemented with the support of the Islamic Development Bank.
