The award was presented to her on December 11 by a group of Cameroonian journalists, working with the Cameroon Digital Boost and Give Back To Mama movements and the Women’s Association of the Ministry of Posts and Telecommunications.

Since she arrived at head her ministerial department on October 02, 2015, Minette Libom Li Likeng has decided to inspire and guide more Cameroonians into digital careers through a series of impactful projects. A group of journalists, supported by Cameroon Digital Boost, Give Back To Mama and the Minpostel Women’s Association, decided to award her a distinction in recognition of the results she has already achieved in this area.

The aim of this award is not only to acknowledge the efforts of the Minister Libom Li Likeng in promoting digital inclusion as an effective means of ensuring the emancipation of women, but also to promote citizen participation and economic and social progress.

The prize follows the 3rd Women’s Forum in the Post, Telecommunications and ICT Sector, which brought together more than 500 participants, including technical and social experts, members of civil society and parliamentarians, to discuss the theme of “Accelerating the Social and Digital Economy for Women”.
