It will be held in Yaounde on July 28 and 29, 2023. A National Executive Meeting (NEC) held at the party’s headquarters in Yaounde on June 3, 2023 examined preparations ahead of the elective convention which will see the election of a new National Chairman of the party. Deliberations were presided by the First Vice President of the SDF, Joshua Osih. Reports on the reorganisation of basic organs of the party at the regional levels were also presented and it was said the process will be completed in two weeks. Hommage was also paid to the late Awudu Mbaya, former MP and Questor of the National Assembly, who was a member of the party for 32 years.
