The USAID country representative, Philippe Accilien disclosed the information after a regional tour.

During his visit to the West Region, Philippe Accilien, USAID Country Representative in Cameroon, met with a large number of local authorities. Discussions were under way on possible areas of cooperation between the two parties. The USAID programme focuses on development and humanitarian aid.

During his trip, Philippe Accilien also focused on initiatives to combat HIV/AIDS and promote health care. He also took the opportunity to underline the commitment of the US government to support the sustainable development of Cameroon.
