The cyclist from SNH Velo club won the Blue jersey at the end of the race which rounded off in Yaounde on Saturday, October 7, 2023
Cameroonian cyclist, Kamzong Clovis Abossolo last Saturday won the Blue Jersey of the 23rd edition of the Chantal Biya International Grand Prix.
The experienced cyclist was the fastest Cameroonian to cross the finish line of the fifth and last lap between Zoetele and Yaounde.
The Blue jersey, sponsored by Cameroon Telecommunications, CAMTEL, crowns the best Cameroonian of each stage and was highly contested by cyclists all through the tour.
Each lap win of the Blue jersey was equivalent to FCFA 100,000 as well as several gifts all offered by the incumbent telecommunications operator.
It should be noted that the yellow jersey of the tour was won by Algerian cyclists Yacine Hamza who was dominant in the final lap. He received his prize from the First Lady, Chantal Biya who graced the closing ceremony.
