Youth Day

This, according to Minister Mounouna Foutsou, will be the main concern during the celebration of the Youth Day on February 11.

The 48th edition of the National Youth Day will be celebrated next 11 February. In line with this celebration, the Minister of Youth affairs and Civic Education, Mounouna Foutsou last week announced this year’s theme, “Youth, import substitution and economic patriotism for the progress of Cameroon”.

During the press conference where the Minister Mounouna Foutsou, presented the theme, he explained the latter as follows: “The aim is to encourage the active participation of young people in accelerating the growth of our economy, particularly through entrepreneurship and innovation, in order to reduce the country’s dependence on imports by developing its own production and consumption capacities.

One of the innovations of this year’s celebration is the creation of the Global Youth Camp, which will bring together young people from Cameroon and abroad at the Ahmadou Ahidjo stadium. In addition to this, there will also be the traditional week of youth before the 11th of February.
