The institution’s Faculty of Science gathered its lecturers for a conference on the role of education for an emerging country.

The University of Buea hosted the Fourth Science Expo Conference under the leadership of the Dean of the Faculty of Science, Professor Ndip Roland Ndip. The theme of this year’s event was “Faculty of Science: 30 years of contributions to the transformation of Cameroon’s educational landscape and national development”.

The event was held on May 16 and 17. It served as an orientation forum for secondary school students on the opportunities offered by the Faculty of Science. It was also an opportunity to showcase the inventions of the university’s students. These included the UB Spring (bottled water) and the laboratory for clinical diagnostics.

It also provided a platform for the Faculty to showcase its achievements in training researchers and scientists and how they are contributing to the development of the country.
