This project is currently being examined by the Interministerial Commission for Decentralised Cooperation.

The technical secretariat of the Interministerial Commission for Decentralised Cooperation met in Yaounde last Tuesday, January 9, 2024. The encounter aimed to examine the draft text laying down the procedures for authorising local elected representatives to travel outside the territory, in accordance with the instructions of the Prime Minister, Joseph Dion Ngute.

The meeting was chaired by Fred Makolle, Secretary General of Minstry of Decentralisation and Local Development. It was attended by the Mayors of the Ngoulemakong, Ngong, Evodoula and Tignere councils. Augustin Tamba, national president of the CVUC, who led the delegation of mayors, took the opportunity of this meeting to draw the attention of committee members to the expectations and contributions of municipal magistrates in this field.
