Most of them recorded 30 hours of absences and above while others were accused delinquency deeds.

The school year ends for many at the end of the first trimester. 99 students from the Government Bilingual High School Bafoussam have been permanently expelled from the classrooms after the disciplinary council held on December 7, 2022. At the end of the first three months of classes for the 2022-2023 school year, their stay on the campus ends prematurely.

84 students registered more than 30 hours of unjustified absences. 15 others committed acts of delinquency including “taxing”, assault on classmates, mockery, a disorder in class, and loitering, informs the daily newspaper Le Jour in its publication for this Thursday, January 05, 2023.

As a result, these 99 excluded students did not resume classes on January 3 for the second trimester like the other six thousand students of the school.

In Bafoussam, this is not the first time that a mass of students has been excluded at the same time for cases of indiscipline. On March 18, 2014, 11 students of the Lycée Classique were expelled for pornography.

The same year, 42 students from the GBHS Bafoussam were expelled for drug usage on the campus, the boycott of classes, and sex tape issues. But these old habits seem to die hard. The concern thus calls for measures to bring young people back to their senses.
