An accident on the Yaounde-Bafoussam road occured yesterday morning of February 6, 2024.

The Yaounde-Bafoussam road has just witnessed another road accident. At around 2AM, last Tuesday, a 19-seater minibus belonging to Dynamique Voyage collided with a sand lorry. The lorry was parked on the side of the road without a signal.

According to media reports, the minibus was travelling from Foumbot in the West region to Yaounde, but ended up in Ombessa in the Mbam and Inoubou division, about a hundred kilometres from Yaounde.

Unofficial sources report six deaths and 10 people heavily injured as a result of the accident. The local authorities were alerted and the emergency services rushed to the scene of the accident to provide assistance to the victims.  While the investigation by the authorities is underway, the injured were taken to nearby hospitals, including Bafia Hospital. .
