At the end of the eighteenth playing day of the national league, all the eight teams to take part in play-offs game are known.

At the start of the MTN Elite 1 season, Young Sports Academy of Bamenda, had a string of poor results. The club’s administrators blamed this for instance on the fact that their home matches were played away from their facilities in the North West region. However, the club managed to bounce back and climb up the table in Groupe B.

YOSA’s good form was confirmed this weekend. Thanks to two goals from John Bosco and one from Patrick Handzonho, the Yellow and Green defeated Fovu Club.  A result which makes the club to finish third in the group with 24 points and qualifies for the play-offs. The other teams in the group qualified for the play-offs are Stade Renard de Melong (31 points), Coton Sport de Garoua (26 points) and Fauve Azur (23 points).

On the disappointment front, Bamboutos de Mbouda remain the big flop in Pool A. Despite a good start, they were unable to keep up the pace in the second half of the season. As a result, they gradually slipped down the standings. The final blow came last weekend with their defeat against of Astres de Douala knocking them out officially out of the play-off race. The four qualified clubs in Group A are Dynamo de Douala (30 points), Canon de Yaoundé (30 points), Colombe Sportive (26 points) and Gazelle FA (26 points).

The play-offs will run from 9 to 30 April.
