The information is contained in a press release after two days of water infiltration in the passenger terminal building.

Thomas Owona Assoumou, the managing director of the institution, announced that the passenger terminal at Douala International Airport had returned to normal since 17 September. Since 15 September, this part of the airport had been suffering from water ingress due to heavy rains during the work on the waterproofing system.  ADC has for some time been carrying out sequential repairs to the waterproofing complex in the passenger terminal at Douala International Airport.
“As part of this work, the company in charge of the contract has removed the area of the public hall to be treated in order to prepare the surface to be repaired, while taking care to lay down a protective tarpaulin to prevent the ingress of rainwater”, says the CEO of ADC in his press release. This comes at a time when this state-owned company, which is responsible for the management of Cameroon’s airport hubs, is preparing to go public, as decided by the government.
