This is a new attack attributed to Anglophone separatists. It took place on Sunday 9 July 2023 and claimed the horrific lives of at least 12 civilians.

In the North-West region of Cameroon, the attack attributed to unidentified men at the Nacho crossroads in Bamenda left 9 people dead.
According to eyewitness accounts, Cameroonian separatists burst into the area and demanded that the 9 people get down on the ground before shooting them in cold blood.
“We were sitting in a bar when armed men stormed the area and started shooting”, said an anonymous source quoted by the local press.
The identity of the victims has not yet been clearly established. However, the victims are believed to include both men and women.
After committing their crime, the gunmen disappeared into thin air. According to the mimimefoinfos media outlet, this killing in Bemenda comes “a few days after five young civilians were killed by government forces in Bamenda”.
