Female victims of the ongoing socio-political crisis in the North West and South West regions are to receive help from the Mother’s Heart Foundation, set up by movie star Muriel Blanche.

The Mother’s Heart Foundation will be in Bandja, West Region, from 04 to 07 March. This is to train 200 housewife victims of the war in the North West and South West regions of Cameroon. The programme provides vocational training in agriculture and it aim is to increase the yield of their agricultural production and their income.

The training will focus on four domains: maize, cassava, potatoes and tomatoes, and is divided into two parts: a theoretical part in the classroom and a practical part. At the end of the training, participants will receive agricultural products to help them get their businesses off the ground. The foundation also plans to build a multifunctional centre to empower and develop rural women.

Founded in 2017, the Mother’s Heart Foundation has already reached over 700 mothers and children through its various programmes and projects in the fields of education, agriculture, health and welfare, and social and professional integration.
