The institution, through the voice of its General Manager, uttered its satisfaction after a working mission last January 31.

Electricity is now more stable in the towns of Minta, Batouri, Belabo, Abong Mbang and Bertoua in the East region. This is thanks to the Lom Pangar dam project. A project initiated by the government seven years ago. It was African Development Bank (AFD) President, Akinwumi Adesina who laid the foundation stone of the Lom Pangar dam project in July 2017. An indication of the institution’s commitment to the dam project.

This explains, for example, why a delegation led by the AFD Regional Director General for Central Africa, Serge Marie N’guessan, paid an inspection visit to the area on January 31, 2024. They were accompanied by a delegation from the Electricity Development Cooperation (EDC).

The main purpose of the visit was to inspect the 30 megawatt project. The project was commissioned last month. And it is with satisfaction that Serge Marie N’guessan came away from the visit. The GM stressed his satisfaction with the level of construction in the industry.
