The Committee for the Coordination of National Policies to Combat Money Funding, Terrorism Financing and the Proliferation of Weapons of Mass Destruction comes under the Minister of Finance. According to Decree 2023/464, the Committee’s mission is to develop and coordinate national policies and activities to combat money laundering, the financing of terrorism and the proliferation of weapons of mass destruction.

The Committee is chaired by the Minister of Finance or his representative and has 25 members. It is made up of representatives from the Secretariat of the Presidency of the Republic, the Presidency of the Council of Ministers and various government departments. They also come from control and regulatory institutions such as the National Financial Intelligence Agency, the National Agency for Information and Communication Technology, professional associations and other professional organisations. The Committee is assisted by a permanent secretary.

The Committee meets twice a year in ordinary session. Extraordinary meetings may be convened at any time if necessary. The Board makes recommendations at the conclusion of its meetings. It draws up six-monthly and annual reports, which are sent to the President of the Republic.
