The government is working at its digitisation. To fulfil such a purpose, the minister of Public service just signed a convention with the Korea International Cooperation Agency.

A memorandum of understanding was signed on July 10, 2023 by Joseph Le, Civil Service minister, and Koica (Korea International Cooperation Agency), whose signatory was Gyuhong Lee, country Manager.

The signature was in the presence of the Secretary General of the Ministry of the Economy, Planning and Regional Development. The successful implementation of the National Development Strategy (SND30) will undoubtedly require an administration that meets the challenges of modernity.

Cameroon’s public administration is struggling to find its feet in a world that is more digitised than ever, with an environment conducive to corruption and trapped by the weight of its paperwork. It is in view of meeting this requirement that Paul Biya’s country has just marked an important milestone by signing a memorandum of understanding with the Korea International Cooperation Agency. Entitled the Project for Enhancing Awareness and Capacity Building for Public Service Transformation in Cameroon, it aims at primarily transforming the manual skills of public servants into harmonised digital skills, for a better online public service for the benefit of businesses.
