Cameroon joined the international community on Saturday to celebrate the International Youth Day. As obtained every year, the national community, under the auspices of the Ministry of Youth and Civic Education, used the opportunity to examine the various problems that hinder the development of young Cameroonians.

Education, one of the challenges presented, remains, according to the authorities, an essential pillar to ensure a rich prospect for this category of the population.

Based on this observation, on August 12, 2017, QNET donated 10 computers to the Yaoundé Multi-purpose Youth Center in a ceremony that took place at the National Museum.

Speaking at the ceremony, Timothy Harvey, representative of the copany’s director said: “QNET is a worldwide company which has been doing business in Africa since 2002. It is our responsibility, as a worldwide company, to be on the field, supporting our customers. Cameroon is a very important country for us.”

He also said sharing is one of the most important values of the company. “We have a foundation whose existence is based on sharing. It is true that we do business but we have values that we standby. Sharing to give the youths the best opportunities in life is one of the basis for our actions,” Said he.

The presentation of the QNET donation took on the sidelines of the closing ceremony of the National Youth Forum. The forum took place from 8 to 12 August 2017 at the National Museum. Among the personalities present at the ceremony were Ms Ana Elisa Santana De Afonso, representative of the Director-General of UNESCO in Cameroon, and Jean Marc Afesi Mbafor, President of the National Youth Council.

QNET is a company specialised in the distribution of products and provision of online services. In Cameroon, several hundred young people are already working on its development throughout the country. The company has made Cameroon the springboard of its positioning strategy in Central Africa.
