The burning of villagers in the North West and South West Regions of Cameroon continue amidst the violent clashes between security forces and pro-independence fighters.
The locality of Zhoa in the Menchum Division is the latest village to be be burnt down on Monday forcing villagers to flee away.
Sources contacted by journalducameroun.com say the houses were burnt by security forces in Monday in repraisals to attacks by separatist fighters at the weekend which left at least two members of Cameroon’s security forces dead. The Cameroon army has not reacted to the claims.
Last week the Centre for Human Rights and Defence for Africa released a catalogue of over 100 villages which they say were burnt down by the Cameroon army in its war against separatist fighters.
