The United Bank for Africa, UBA, Cameroon, has opened a new branch in Bonaberi Douala. The new branch is part of the Bank’s expansion programme to cover almost all regions in the country in the bid to better serve its customers.
The new branch which brings to 16 the number of branches in Cameroon, was commission Friday November 30, 2018 in Bonaberi Douala, in the presence of the Divisional officer for Douala IV Jean Marc Ekoa Mbarga, UBA Cameroon MD/CEO Dominique Mahend, traditional authorities as well as customers and staff.
While lauding the initiative, the DO O for Douala IV Jean Marc Ekoa Mbarga said the new UBA branch is coming at a time when many businesses are setting up in Douala IV. He encouraged the management for its efforts to support the economic growth of the country and called on the staff to selflessly serve customers.
For his part, the MD/CEO Dominique Mahend, said, Douala 4 in the last 2 years has witnessed immense development in different areas. “It is home to a huge diversified population with an active business community. The construction of the second bridge over River Wouri has improved circulation which had a major issue for many years”.
In the end, Dominque Mahend called on all to profit from this opportunity of the branch being at their door step. “The staff of this branch is motivated and at the service of all customers”, he said.
It should be recalled that UBA started operations in Cameroon in 2008. The pan African bank is operating in 20 countries across Africa, London, Paris and New York. In Cameroon UBA Cameroon has continued to work with major stakeholders I the public and private sector.
