At least three corpses were discovered in Wum, headquarter of the Menchum Division in the North West Region of Cameroon on Thursday morning in an advanced state of decomposition.

The circumstances of their deaths are still unknown and the corpses have equally not been identified. The macabre discovery early this morning follows the violent incidents in the locality in the past days.

Houses were burnt in Zhoa, a locality few kilometres from Wum after attacks by separatist fighters left at least two security forces dead.

There is still no news of a magistrate of the Wum High Court who  was kidnapped on Tuesday, August 21st. He was on board a public transport vehicle.
