The main opposition party will be holding its first gathering after the senatorial elections where they picked up only seven out of the 70 elective seats in the race.

According to a communiqué signed by the Secretary General of the party Jean Tsomelu, the National Executive Committee of the Social Democratic Front will be in session on April 21 in Bamenda.

The meeting is enlarged to all shadow cabinet members, mayors, parliamentarians and councillors, the communiqué added.

The order of the day was however not mentioned but it is obvious the party will assess its performance at the just ended senatorial elections.

But most crucial are preparations for the upcoming Municipal, Legislative and Presidential elections in which the party hopes to perform better.

The party recently lost their senatorial seats in the West and Adamaoua regions to the CPDM, in return swept all seven seats in its stronghold, the North West Region.
