Dust is still to settle at popular supermarket in the Essos neighbourhood in the city of Yaounde after news of a good samaritan woman who offered to pay the bills of all clients spread like wildfire.

The Mobile Essos roundabout could not contain the population that trooped in to benefit from the largese of the woman whom nobody has seen nor identified at the moment.

It only took the timely intervention of a mixed team of security forces to contained the crowd that paralysed traffic for hours in front of the super market.

Many persons journalducameroun.com spoke to said they wanted to get into the super market and benefit from the woman’s generosity. Some even went as far as claiming the woman was in possession of two billion francs CFA which she is determined to completely spend before 3pm.

A version that was completely dismissed by the management of the super market who said the woman was just a client who had purchased goods worth 114.000FCFA and offered to pay the bills of a few clients who were at the counter.

The delighted beneficiaries soon spread the news which forced others to throng into the super market to benefit from the woman, authorities of the super market said.

However, the woman had exhusted her cash while the crowd kept coming before security forces stepped in to take control of the situation.

The woman was later smuggled out of the super market and kept at a nerby gendarmerie brigade for her safety while investigations are carried out.
