Professor Horace Ngomo Manga, former Secretary General at the Ministry of Higher Education is the new Vice Chancellor of the   University of Buea, UB.

President Biya signed a decree on Tuesday June 27, appointing Prof. Ngomo to replace Dr Nalova Lyonga who goes on retirement. Prof. Ngomo Horace Manga, is an Associate Professor of Applied Chemical Engineering. He obtained his PhD from the University of Lagos in 1990. He hails from Oroko tribe in Ndian Division, South West region.

Prof Uphie Chinje Melo  was equally appointed Rector of the University of Ngaoundere while Edward Ako Oben was moved from his position as Rector of the University of Maroua to man the post of Pro Chancellor at the University of Buea. He replaces Prof Maurice Tchuente who is now holding same function in the University of Yaounde II.  Professor Ako for his part was replaced by Prof Idrissou Alioum.
