The Prime Minister, Head of Government Philemon Yang has tasked the Minister of Public Contracts to ensure managers of public structures have a mastery of procurement procedure in the recent public contract reforms.

During the cabinet meeting for the month of June held at the Star Building in Yaounde, Philemon Yang called for a rapid implementation of the reforms on the status of public and para-private enterprises by all stakeholder so as to foster economic growth in Cameroon.

The Minister of Finance, Louis Paul Motaze and the Minister Delegate at the Presidency in charge of Public Contracts Abba Sadou all presented papers on the reforms given their pivotal role in the implementation.

The innovations contained in the reforms will halp Cameroon meet international standards in the domain of public contracts and improve managerial skills of head of the concerned establishments.

Some of the major reforms include the creation of a committee to arbitrate and examine petitions when file to the board of directors which becomes the interface between the auditing and the executing authorities.
