The Head of State Paul Biya has convened a Ministerial Council for Thursday March 15 at the Unity Palace.
This is the first meeting after the partial cabinet shake up on March 02.
The Head of State will meet the entire government this Thursday, March 15, 2018 at the Unity Palace in Etoudi. This high-level meeting is attended by the prime minister, his deputy, ministers of state, ministers, deputy ministers and secretaries of state. The meeting, which will begin at 11 am will focus on “the special communication of the Head of State”, as the only item on the agenda.
The last Council meeting was held on October 15, 2015, shortly after another partial cabinet shake up on October 2.
During this meeting, Paul Biya instructed his ministers to accelerate ” preparations for the important sports celebration which are(were) the 2016 and 2019 Afcon”.
Thursday’s Counci Meeting will be a first for newly-appointed ministers. They are Joseph Le, Gaston Eloundou Essomba, George Elanga Obam, Paul Tasong and Nalova Lyonga.
