The Head of State Paul Biya has appointed Edith Félicie Noëlle Ondoua Ateba née Ngaeto Zam as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Cameroon to the Republic of Gabon with residence in Libreville.

Last Saturday, the Gabonese government, meeting in Council, confirmed the diplomat’s accreditation to their country.

Edith Félicie Noëlle Ondoua Ateba who is one of the few women to have occupied the position replaces Jean Koo Nonga.

Cameroon and Gabon are neighbouring countries as well as members of the Economic
Community of Central African States, ECCAS and the Central African Economic and Monetary
Community, CEMAC.

Cameroon, one of the leading countries of the sub region is the major food supplier to Gabon and about 1.8 Cameroonians living in Gabon.
