The upper and lower houses of parliament have been convened for March 6 at the Congress Hall in Yaounde.

In a release signed by the President of the National Assembly, Hon. Cavaye Yeguie Djibril, the National Assembly and the Senate meet to receive the oath of the members of the Constitutional Council appointed by Presidential decree on February 7, 2018.

The decree of the President of the National Assembly is in conformity with the provisions of the Constitution of Cameroon which, in article 14, paragraph 4, states : “The two Houses of Parliament shall meet in congress at the request of the President of the Republic in order to: be addressed by or receive a message from the President of the Republic ; – receive the oath of members of the Constitutional Council; – take a decision on a draft or proposed constitutional amendment. When Parliament meets in congress, the Bureau of the National Assembly shall preside over the proceedings. “.
