The Commander of the Nguti gendarmerie brigade Guy Robert Lontsi was on Tuesday morning killed in clashes between security forces and separatist fighters in the locality.

From 6 to 11 am security force and suspected secessionists clashed in Nguti. At the end of these events, the newly appointed Brigade Commander Guy Robert Berlin Lontsi in the city died. He was wounded during the fighting and died at the hospital

A student gendarme was also injured. Security forces neutralized three attackers and recovered firearms.
