Cameroon’s political and economic capitals, Yaounde and Douala respectively, are now among the best 30 cities in Africa. This is according to a classification by the African Cities Lab’ and the Afrique Méditerranée Business.
The classification is based on the quality of infrastructure in cities under survey, housing, spatial development, governance, and also takes into consideration environmental and ecological protection factors. Douala is on the 26th position while Yaounde is last on the list of 30.
