At least two persons have been arrested at the construction site of the Yaounde Olembe stadium set to be one of the host venues for the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations.

This follows protest from workers on the site requesting for their contract situation to be regularized by the Italian construction firm Piccinni. The workers are protesting against a sub contracting firm that is slashing part of their benefits and want to be directly integrated into Piccini.
