A suicide bomber was shot dead by members of Cameroon’s Rapid Intervention Battalion (BIR) and another killed by a blast from his own suicide vest in the town of Kordo early on Sunday.Security sources blamed the incursion on Nigeria’s Islamist militant sect Boko Haram.

Although the circumstances of the botched attack are unclear, initial reports suggest that the two insurgents arrived in the small town near the border with Nigeria at dawn.
