Former captain of the indomitable lions, Rigobert Song has announced that he would be visiting southern Cameroons in order to thank the people of the North West and South West regions for praying for healing when he suffered a stroke.
Song made the announcement over state radio network April 4. Rigobert Song recently returned from France where he received medical care allegedly paid for by the government.
Since his announcement many english speaking Cameroonians have criticised the move stating that Song must have a hidden agenda. Many are of the opinion that Song should have first condemn the rapes, killings and abductions currently going on in anglophone Cameroon before organising a visit.
According to them the former captain’s visit is part of Biya plans to restrain the ongoing anglophone crisis which has plagued socio cultural activities for months.
