The President elect Paul Biya has just taken off from the Unity Palace as he heads to the National Assemby where he ill be sworn in.

He is expected to arrive the National Assembly in the next fifteen minutes which will mark the official start of the ceremony. Paul Biya is accompanied by his wife Chantal Biya with a reduced escort and will get his full escort after his innauguration. At the National Assembly, he will receive type D military honours, which indictaes he is still the President elect and after the ceremony he will receive type A (full military honours) reserved for the Head of State.
