The locality pof Oku in the North West Region of Cameroon got up to frightening gunshots as security forces battled with unidentified armed men, sources have confirmed.

The situation has forced many residents to remain indoors while others have fled to the bushes. Today’s shootings come after prolonged fightings last week that led to the burning down of the Oku Special Branch Police station as well as three policemen reportedly abducted.
