In a press conference with Journalists in Yaounde, Maurice Kamto of the MRC declared himself winner, calling on incumbent President Biya to organise peaceful transition.

His words:” I was sent to kick a penalty, I fired it! The goal has been scored.

I have closely followed national and international opinion regarding the elections and I am inviting  the outgoing president to organize a peaceful handover!
As I am involved, I guarantee him and his family a protection at the level of his status.

I launch a virulent appeal to all candidates in this election to remain vigilant”
