FRANCE 24’s Abidjan correspondent Leanne de Bassompière reports as West-African country “Ivory Coast is mourning”, as President Alassan Ouattara said when announcing the death of Prime Minister Amadou Gon Coulibaly. He was also expected to succeed him in October’s presidential election. He died after falling ill during a cabinet meeting, although he had returned from France to receive heart-treatment.
