The Government of Cameroon has launched a program to recruit 500 young Cameroonians in its drive to re-populate the area and trigger economic growth through fishing, agriculture and ordinary life activities.

For this to be practical, 3.000 hectares of land have been secured in Isangele and Kombo Abedimo as the recruitment is expected to proceed by the end of June. Through the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, the special mini programme is meant for youths below 40 wishing to settle or resettle in Bakassi in the Ndian Division of the South West Region.
