Ghana emerged tops in the 2017 Economic Freedom Index in West Africa, APA learns here.Ghana also placed 16th in the same ranking in Africa and 103 in the world, the report released by Frazier Institute in Canada has revealed.

The economic freedom index measures the extent to which policies and institutions of a country promote economic freedom and the five significant areas used to measure the economic freedom are, the size of government, legal systems and property rights, sound money, freedom trade internationally, and regulations.
