Elections Cameroon, ELECAM, has reiterated the need to get more women registered on the electoral register.

Statistics from the elections body indicate that one hundred and ten thousand women have so far registered on the electoral list for the 2017 exercise. Although the figures have increased compared to previous years, ELECAM officials say the women demographic will still require motivation to turn up for registration.
