Some Chinese mining operators in Bertoua have been jailed for violating environmental norms during mining operations.
According to All Afrikan Network, the national gendarmerie in Bétaré-Oya, arrested and detained the operators at the Bétaré-Oya gendarmerie brigade. Another charge on their legality, reports say, has equally been brought before the Bertoua Court of First Instance.
