Joseph Lakate, minister of national defence of the Central African Republic, CAR, is currently in Cameroon on a three-day working visit.

Minister Joseph Lakate and his delegation started the working mission o April 17, by visiting Cameroon’s minister of defence, Joseph Beti Assomo where discussions centred on strides made in the stabilisation process in the Central African Republic. The duo also evoked ways of strengthening cooperation in the domain of security. Minister Joseph Lakate also visited the central command of gendermarie schools, the national museum and the training centres and the international school for security forces (EIFORCES).

During the visit, the CAR minister hailed Cameroon’s peace-keeping efforts in his country and also lauded Cameroon’s continuous training of Central African military officials.
