The detained photojournalist and Paris correspondent of Canal 2 International Eric Golf Kouatchou has been released, sources have said.
He was rleased on Monday after spending days in detention in Douala where he was questioned by security forces. He was suspected of giving out his badge to a Cameroonian activist in France to access a hall and quiz the French President on alleged human rights violations in Cameroon. The French President’s subsequent outing caused a lot of storm and condemnation from the political class in Cameroon.
