Former United States Assistant Secretary of State in charge of African Affairs, Herman Cohen has called on the United Nations Security Council to appoint a special representative to begin mediation to end the Anglophone crisis which has rocked the two English speaking regions of the country for over three years now.

The diplomat took to his twitter account Tuesday to express his views, stating: ” It is clear that neither side can win on the battlefield in Cameroon.”
