The Head of State Paul Biya clocks one year as the Chair person of the Conference of Head of States of the Central African Economic and Monetary Community CEMAC.

He assumed the function on March 25, 2019 following his elections by Heads of States of CEMAC mamber countries during the 14th CEMAC summit in Djamena Chad.
