A portion of the newly constructed Monatele town hall in the Lekie Division, Centre region of Cameroon has been reduced to ashes.

The exact cause of the fire is not known though some sources say the act was voluntary. In the meantime, the Monatele police has opened an investigation to make light on the incident.

The newly constructed structure was supposed to be innaugurated this Monday June 15.
