David Mafany Namange has been elected new Mayor of Buea Council, South West region of Cameroon.

He was voted yesterday during Council elections carried out nationwide.

He replaces Efande John Lyonga appointed interim Mayor of the Buea Council after the dead of Patrick Ekema.

Among other challenges David Mafany is set to face is the constant lockdowns plaguing the town as well as water crisis.
